L10 - Mare Crisium

Mare Crisium (Sea of Crisis), located on the north-eastern edge of the moon, is isolated, nearly circular basin that has been filled in with magma to form what ancient observers thought was a sea of water.

This image was taken on 11-Jan-2006 through a 203mm Celestron C-8 Schmidt-Cassegrain reflector with a Canon Digital Rebel XT (350D) camera using eyepiece projection through a 15mm eyepiece.
